[img_assist|nid=158|title=Third Eye|desc=|link=none|align=right|width=83|height=100]Fans of Steamworks Brewing Co.’s Third Eye Pale Ale no longer have to drive to Southwest Colorado to enjoy one of the brewery’s hoppiest offerings. Third Eye six packs are now available throughout the state.
“The stars aligned and we saw it was time to bottle the Third Eye, said Brian McEachron, director of sales and marketing for Steamworks, currently celebrating 10 years in operation. “Seriously, the Third Eye is one of our most popular brews on tap. Regulars simply come in and tap their forehead – the ‘third eye’ – and our bartenders know they want a Third Eye PA. It’s the beer of enlightened patrons in Southwest Colorado.
Third Eye PA, with its “spiritual logo featuring a Third Eye PA patron in meditation, is the third of Steamworks’ award-winning craft beers to be bottled and distributed throughout Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona. The internationally-renown Steam Engine Lager and Engineer Light Lager also are available in six-packs.
Third Eye PA is reminiscent of the English ales that date back to the early 1800s and is one of the most heavily hopped beers in Steamworks’ repertoire.

I was skeptical, thinking Third Eye could not be better than Steamworks' Steam Engine Lager; but, honestly, after about my third Third Eye :) - over a couple of days - it quickly became my #1 beer. It has a uniquely sharp taste, and seems like a perfect summertime treat; htough, I'll probably be calling it a perfect cold weather treat in a few months!
