Mountain Sun brewery is turning 13 years old and its sibling, The Southern Sun is 4 years old, which calls for a party.
The fourth Annual Anniversary Benefit Funky Good Times party fits the bill.
There will be music (see the lineup below) and Mountain Sun beers will be on special for $2 a pint all night long.

Musicians include...(the best line up in Mountain Sun history)

• George Porter Jr. from the Funky Meters on Bass returning for the 4th year. It all starts with bass in the funk world and George is one of Funk music’s legendary bass players.
• Kyle Hollingsworth from String Cheese Incident on Keyboards also returning for the 4th year. If you have not seen Kyle’s Style you are missing out. One of our times greatest keyboard players player.
• Karl Denson from the one and only Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe on Saxophone. A highly energized funk machine and formally the sax-man for Lenny Kravitz. Karl is a dynamic musician with soul to follow.
• Eric Krasno from Soul Live on guitar. Whether jazz, soul or bluegrass Eric’s playing is steeped in funk. He as a unique mix of rhythm and melodic conception.
• Neil Symonette from Mike Gordon and Leo Kottke Trio. Traveling from the Bahamas, which he calls home, Neil defines funk with stick in each hand.
• Liza Oxnard our exuberant local female musician on vocals.

Last years funk party raised $7,500 for KGNU and Hurricane Katrina victims and was a monstrous good time.
