Attention Home-Brewers!
(sorry, professionally experienced brewers excluded)

The Mountain Sun Brewers are gearing up for Stout Month 2007 and we need your help! We are looking for a new stout to add to our already diverse line up of roasty libations. As former and current home-brewers ourselves, we know that the local homebrewing community has a wealth of creativity and brewing experience. We decided it's about time that we took advantage of it.

We are asking you to design and brew a stout that showcases your skill and appreciation for flavorful, unique brews. The Mountain Sun Brewers will then collect all the entries and choose the beer that we feel will best compliment our line-up for next February's Stout Month. It will be a relatively informal judging process that will reward taste and creativity over adherence to style guidelines.

The winning brewer will then have the opportunity to a join a Mountain Sun Brewer, and whip up a six-barrel batch of his or her brew on the Mountain Sun system. This beer will accompany our line up of original and guest stouts during February's Stout Month 2007. The winning brewer will also receive a fifty dollar Stout Month bar tab.

Rules:

1) The beer must be a stout.
2) If you brew beer for pay you may not enter
2) Please keep the beer at 8% alcohol or under, as we already have a large selection of imperials.
3) All entries should be delivered to the Southern Sun Pub on or before December 20th 2006. For each entry, Six 12 or three 22 ounce bottles are required. Please include your full name, e-mail address, and a telephone number where we can reach you.

Also include the following information about your beer:
a. Name of beer
b. Grains, Hops, and other ingredients
c. Style of Stout
d. Approximate abv
