Beer+Chocolate=Love at first bite

So Valentines Day is quickly approaching. Do you know what you're doing this year? How about ditching the champagne and trying some cool new beers instead?

Lisa Morrison wrote an article that will help you make the perfect chocolate and beer pairings. She talks to fellow Coloradoan (and beer expert) Ray Daniels to get the scoop.

Now, guys, I have to add that you can't just show up with some Butterfingers and a case of Coors Light. The point is to find some combinations that both you and your sweetie will like. Hey this gives us yet another oportunity to sample some new beers and eat chocolate at the same time!

Members of the fairer sex, you can't go wrong with this plan. Almost every man on earth enjoys his beer (and most of us like Choolate, too).

We've done the wine and chocolate thing many times, and it's always been a positive experience. But I think Daniels is right that many wines get overpowered by the chocolate. I wonder what a nice spicy Mexican Chocolate would taste like with a soft, sweet Imperial IPA? Or a melt-in-your-mouth chocolate truffle with a fruity Belgium beer? MMM, Beer and Chocolate!
