We're spoiled

Imagine a world without Old Chicago.
Well until recently, Louisville, Kentucky was that place.
A new Old Chicago opened and this is what Jeffrey Lee Puckett had to say about it in the Courier-Journal (emphasis mine):
"... sneak over to the bar, which is largely secluded and offers direct access to 110 beers -- 110! -- including 30 on tap and your choice of mug, pint or 25-ouncer. You'll also find sports television, a pool table and a posse of attractive young girls, but let's keep our priorities straight: beer.
The bottled beer comes from all over the world, including a lager from Kenya and a potent ESB from Wales. It's an impressive selection that on a recent evening was pretty much ignored in favor of Bud, Bud Light and Miller Lite. This is America, after all, where Samuel Adams is considered exotic.
That just meant more Boulder Singletrack Copper Ale for me. Boulder is where Old Chicago opened its first restaurant, and they've honored their roots by keeping a couple of hometown craft beers on the menu.
This stuff is freakin' beer manna. Seriously, it's the best I've tasted in a long time, and I try to keep up with this kind of thing. It's hoppy but not excessively so, with a slight sweetness and a full, round flavor."

Come on, Samuel Adams exotic? At least he likes the Singletrack.
I wonder what this guy would do if he went to the Yard House?
Sometimes I forget how spoiled we are in Colorado when it comes to good beer.
Here's the link to the original story.

Florida scares me

Check this out, if you dare: there's a few counties in Florida that are still dry.
That article also pointed out a very disturbing fact, the Prohibition Party is based in Colorado.
"...Earl Dodge of Denver, chairman of the Colorado-based Prohibition Party. The party's one success in electing a governor to office was in Florida, where Baptist minister Sidney J. Catts served from 1917-21."
